Virtual Meet Ups Instead of Meetings

What I wouldn’t give to attend an actual meeting or conference right now. But with the pandemic we’re facing it may be a very long time before that will be possible again.

In the meantime, companies and organizations are making the move toward Virtual Meet Ups or Virtual Meetings to compensate for not being able to meet in person.

Virtual Meet Ups have proven to be a great alternative to not meeting at all. And with social distancing policies making it necessary to stay apart or having increased the potential of having teams working remotely from their individual residences, it’s great to have options for keeping your teams connected.

The most popular platform appears to Zoom. In addition to its most popular feature of video chatting, Zoom has proven that its messaging and file sharing abilities make it a pivotal tool for webinars, product trainings, etc. Zoom has also collaborated with many apps, like Outlook, Slack, and Egnyte to enhance your experience further.

Other popular platforms include GoToMeeting, Join.Me, Adobe Connect, Skype for Business, Roundee and Google Hangouts.

Surprisingly, virtual meeting platforms can accommodate a large number of participants. For example, Zoom allows up to 100 in most of its basic plans but as an add-on its Enterprise version can host up to 500 participants.

Is this the future of meetings? For the time being it definitely is the thing to do.

You don’t have to miss out on all the great company gear either. While planning your video conferencing, make sure you include imprinted promotional products to send out to your attendees to make them feel like they’re still participating in a big conference. You can drop ship or send the individuals and teams your logo imprinted collateral ahead of the meeting.

Some great gifts include notepads, pens, hand sanitizer, beverage holders, water bottles, travel mugs, flash drives and other great tech devices.
